The Round Rock ISD Board of Trustees seeks community members interested in serving as a volunteer on the Williamson Central Appraisal District Board of Directors.
There are five opportunities to serve. Two community members will serve a one-year term, and three will serve a three-year term. Applicants must live in the Williamson Central Appraisal District.
Community members interested in serving on the WCAD Board of Directors must submit the following information by the end of the business day on Thursday, Sept. 12:
- Complete and submit the online volunteer application form
- Attach your resume or letter of interest
- Complete and attach the one-year or three-year general information sheet
- Complete and attach the WCAD checklist
Round Rock ISD Board of Trustees will vote on their nominees at the September 19 Regular Board meeting and submit them to the WCAD by the October 15 deadline. Once the WCAD collects all nominations submitted by their taxing units, they will provide the district a list and a ballot for the Board of Trustees to cast their votes by WCAD’s December 15 deadline.
WCAD Board of Directors responsibilities include establishing the appraisal office, appointing the Chief Appraiser and a Taxpayer Liaison Officer, selecting a Chairman and Secretary from among the Appraisal Review Board members, adopting the annual budget, contracting for an annual audit and private appraisal service firms, designating a depository, appointing an Agricultural Advisory Board, ensuring that the District follows policies and procedures and appropriate state laws and regulations. The Board of Directors does not appraise property, hear protests, or make decisions affecting appraisal records.
