Discussion Items:
- Finalize Project List for Possible 2024 Bond
- Trustees received final information from the Citizens Bond Committee and administration, as well as from a recent survey regarding the finalized project list for a possible 2024 Bond.
- Interest & Sinking (I&S) Tax Rate Implications for Possible 2024 Bond
- Rudy Mejia, Financial Adviser, presented that Round Rock ISD is in a fantastic position on the I&S side and that the district was the only Aaa-rated district in Texas as rated by Moody’s Investor Service and Fitch Ratings.
- The district could lower the tax rate by $0.01 per $100 valuation; the board will set the tax rate at its September 2024 meeting.
Superintendent Report:
- LSG Monitoring Report Goal 3 – College, Career, and Military Readiness-CCMR
- Dr. Natalie Nichols, Senior Chief of Schools and Innovation, presented data regarding Board Goal 3: The board wants the district to grow the numbers of graduates who are CCMR to 94% by August 2026.
- Current data shows the Class of 2024 is at 90% CCMR and could increase throughout the year.
- Round Rock ISD is on track to meet or exceed the board goal by or before 2026.

Academic Calendars for 2025–26
- Chief of Access and Opportunity Kayren Gray presented the background and proposals of two calendar drafts for the 2025–26 academic year.

- General Counsel Cindy Hill presented information regarding seats up for re-election on November 5th. Trustee Bone, Zárate, and Weston’s term will be on the ballot on November 5, 2024.
- The deadline to file to be on the ballot for these seats is August 19, 2024.
- Passed 7-0
- After final remarks from all trustees and co-chairs of the Citizens Bond Committee, the board voted 5-2, calling for a 2024 Bond Election. Election Day is Nov. 5.
