Blackland Prairie Elementary School earned the Marzano High-Reliability Schools (HRS) Level Two and Level Three certifications for showcasing effective teaching in every classroom.
Level 2 certification means Blackland Prairie Elementary School has established “Effective Teaching in Every Classroom,” which focuses on the responsibility of both school leaders and teachers to ensure high-quality instruction. Level 3 certification means the school has created a “Guaranteed and Viable Curriculum,” which requires schools to create a single curriculum that is taught by all teachers.
The HRS program was created by Marzano Research to help transform schools into organizations that take proactive steps to ensure student success. Educators learn to assess, monitor, and confirm their schools’ effectiveness using a research-based five-level hierarchy and leading and lagging indicators.

Schools must collect data and validate their performance to climb each hierarchy level to be certified. Certification is determined by Marzano Research analysts in cooperation with school data teams.
