Lily Dreher is the new Double File Trail Elementary Leadership Academy principal. She will continue serving as associate principal at Round Rock ISD’s Voigt Elementary Arts Integration Academy and transition into her principal role in July.

While at Voigt, Deher established and led a campus equity committee that helped teachers grow and understand how to implement cultural consciousness teaching strategies that promote a sense of belonging for all learners.

Her intentional approach to educator professional development and the application of data analysis empowered teachers and led to student gains in early literacy and math.

“As a lifelong learner, I’m always striving to be a reflective educator and ensure that I lead as a servant to others,” said Dreher. “My mindset has never wavered in that our students deserve the absolute best in holding high expectations for them! This solid belief is something I will carry with me as I lead at Double File Trail Elementary.”

Dreher began her career as an educator in Somerset ISD as a second-grade teacher. She taught third grade and kindergarten in Dallas ISD, and was a first-grade English as a second language and kindergarten dual language teacher at Voigt before serving as the campus associate principal since 2015.

She is bilingual in Spanish and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in speech communication from the University of Texas at San Antonio. She earned her master’s degree in educational administration from the University of Texas at Tyler.

As the Double File Trail principal, Dreher will sustain a nurturing environment that leads to positive outcomes for all staff, students, and families, said Patricia Ephlin, Stony Point Learning Community area superintendent.

“Her dedication to strengthening instructional systems, building positive relationships, and encouraging a growth mindset will undoubtedly contribute to the continued success and growth of the school community,” Ephlin said.

Dreher’s first day at Double File Trail will be Monday, July 8.
