We’re thankful to be part of such a strong community dedicated to the mission of public education. As part of our commitment to our students, staff and the community, we’ve been going through the process of creating a long-range facilities master plan.
Such a plan serves as a guide for how Round Rock ISD maintains and updates our facilities for the next five years or more. A long-range facilities master plan is required by the Texas Education Agency, but it’s also best practice.
This FMP will be the culmination of more than a year of work that began with facilities assessments and the creation of the district’s first educational specifications, which detail the ideal layout and spaces for campuses at all levels.
We’ve been joined in our work by our Long-Range Facilities Master Plan Committee. This group of passionate community members has looked at the needs facing every campus and facility in the district and developed options to address those needs.
Here’s where you come in—We want to know what you think about the options the committee has created.
- Take the survey.
- At the end of the survey, tell us if you’d like to join a focus group to share more.
The survey includes options for all learning communities, as well as for districtwide projects. We welcome feedback on all the sections. If you’d like to give feedback on just your learning community or just the one you know the best, simply skip ahead and share your thoughts in that section. Your feedback is vital to what we include in the final version of the FMP.
This work has truly been a group effort and we’re thankful to everyone who’s been able to give your time and ideas to the process.
