Round Rock ISD Partners in Education (PIE) Foundation’s 23rd Annual Golf Classic raised over $161,600 for students and programs. On Oct. 2, 36 participating teams and 144 golfers participated in the sold-out “Par-Tee in Paradise” themed tournament at the Golf Club at Star Ranch.

“We are so grateful to everyone who came out to support the Partners In Education Foundation and Round Rock ISD,” said Superintendent Dr. Hafedh Azaiez. “The Foundation is truly invaluable to the District. They champion public education and help place the best resources in the hands of our students. Not only do they raise funds for different programs with events like the Golf Classic, but they also help unite the community with a common goal – the success of our students. There’s no doubt, the support of the Foundation, and by extension, the community, truly makes a difference at Round Rock ISD.”

The title sponsor was HPM, with a $10,000 donation. ACE team sponsors included Bartlett Cocke General Contractors, McCreary Veselka Bragg & Allen PC, and VLK Architects.

Adding to the event’s fundraising success were 19 Underwriting Sponsors who sponsored on-course games, lunch, and more. Over $19,000 was contributed from Austin and Round Rock area businesses and families that purchased Hole Sign Sponsorships around the course.

“It’s been a challenging few years as the needs of our students, staff, and teachers continue to grow,” said Marianne Reap, Round Rock ISD PIE Foundation executive director. “But one consistent is the desire for excellence in the education that is provided to all students. With the support of so many generous community partners and our Foundation Board members, the Foundation is able to fill the gaps and continue to provide support for innovation in the classroom and basic emergency needs as they come up for our families. It takes all of us working together to support public education.”
