Dr. Logan Faris has been named the Area Superintendent of the Round Rock Learning Community.

Dr. Faris has been the Executive Director of Secondary Education for Northwest ISD since 2015. During that time, he led and oversaw campus academic improvement efforts, supported campus leadership, and led campus-based intervention initiatives to improve student behavior and disciplinary practices. Before this role as an executive director, he served in multiple principal and assistant principal positions at the secondary level and as a teacher and coach in school districts across Texas. He has 30 years of experience in education.

“I am excited and grateful for the opportunity to serve as the next Area Superintendent for the Round Rock Learning Community,” Dr. Faris said. “I look forward to serving the students, faculty and staff, and families that have earned a strong reputation for academics and excellence. My heart and mind are deeply aligned with the belief that we exist to ignite passion in every student, and I expect that you will see that commitment in my words and my actions. I look forward to collaborating with everyone in our community to move public education in our community forward.”

Dr. Faris earned his Doctorate in Education, Master’s in Education, and Bachelor’s in Science from Stephen F. Austin State University.

“Dr. Faris exemplifies exceptional leadership and unwavering dedication to student achievement,” Superintendent Dr. Hafedh Azaiez said. “With a profound commitment to fostering success across all grade levels, he will serve as a steadfast advocate for every student, ensuring their voices are heard, and their needs are met.”
