Anthony Baney Named Principal of Union Hill Elementary

Anthony Baney has been named the new principal of Union Hill Elementary School.

Baney has served as the assistant principal of Taylor Creek Elementary School in Lampasas ISD since 2022. Before his time at Taylor Creek, he served as an assistant principal at Bell’s Hill Elementary and Dean Highland elementary schools in Waco ISD and as a classroom teacher. He has 13 years of experience in education.

During his time as an administrator, Baney led the improvement of campus instructional models to enhance teaching and learning and worked to facilitate a campus culture reset to help increase student support and achievement.

“I am committed to helping all students, staff, and families at Union Hill Elementary achieve greatness,” Baney said. “I look forward to working with the staff and community, in a combined partnership, to promote a positive, safe, and meaningful learning environment for all students.”

Baney earned his Master’s in Educational Administration from Texas A&M University-Central Texas and a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education from Pennsylvania State University.
