Eighth-graders Arya Kashyap, Siddharth Megharaj, Soham Pradhan, Sritam Pradhan, and Suved Naidu from Cedar Valley Middle School won the finalist award at the FIRST® LEGO® League World Festival in Houston, Texas.
As Techwrecks, the team of five emerged victorious as the innovative project festival finalist, surpassing 108 robotics teams from around the world. The Techwrecks clinched their finalist position by successfully presenting a battery-swapping solution for a power-efficient and environmentally responsible technology for achieving a sustainable future. The team designed the solution using a combination of research, surveys, and industry professional interviews as their tactics.
Robotics is part of Round Rock ISD’s enrichment programming and is available at participating schools.
