Round Rock ISD will keep April 21 as a student holiday and apply for a Texas Education Agency (TEA) waiver to make up for February’s school cancellations.
District administration originally proposed to schedule an inclement weather makeup day on April 21. The proposal was made in efforts to minimize the learning loss that took place due to cancellations and make up required instructional minutes. After considering community feedback and additional options, the proposal was updated to pursue a TEA waiver.
