The Round Rock ISD Partners in Education (PIE) Foundation annual golf classic raised $118,000 for students and programs. With 36 participating teams and 144 golfers in a sold out tournament, the “Music in Motion” themed event was held at the Golf Course at Star Ranch on Oct. 4.
Stantec was the Grand Slam presenting sponsor with a $10,000 donation. Ace sponsors Bartlett Cocke General Contractors, Dell Technologies, HPM and McCreary, Veselka Bragg & Allen PC, contributed $5,000 each.
Eagle sponsors Cunningham Allen, Kalahari Resorts & Nelson Family Life Foundation Inc., Maxwell, Locke & Ritter LP, PBK Architects, Pfluger Architects and PlainsCapital Bank contributed $2,500 each.
Adding to the event’s fundraising success were 20 Birdie team sponsors, 18 Underwriters that sponsored fun on-course games, lunch and so much more. And over $12,150 was contributed from Austin and Round Rock area businesses and families that purchased sign sponsorships around the course.
“With the support of so many generous community partners and our Foundation Board members, we are truly blessed to have had a successful event,” said Marianne Reap, executive director, Round Rock ISD PIE Foundation. “The funds raised allow the Foundation to continue to support innovation in the classroom for all students and provide financial support for Happy Birthday bags, hygiene kits, snacks and water for the Resource Boutique that serves students in need.”
