Dr. Zac Oldham has been named the Area Superintendent of the Westwood Learning Community.
Dr. Oldham has served as the principal of Cedar Valley Middle School since 2017 and during that time has focused on closing achievement gaps, which has resulted in the campus sustaining an “A” rating by Texas Education Agency. He also helped create and implement a multi-tiered approach to help ensure academic, disciplinary and staffing equity. Before then, he helped lead Pearson Ranch Middle School as assistant principal and worked in Midlothian, Ennis, Leander, Burnet and Stockdale ISDs in both administrative and teaching positions. He has a total of 18 years of experience in education.
“I’m honored and excited to join the Westwood Learning Community as Area Superintendent,” Dr. Oldham said. “I look forward to serving the amazing students, staff, families, and community in continuing the tradition of excellence of the Westwood Learning Community!”
Dr. Oldham earned his Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Master’s in Educational Administration from Lamar University and his Bachelor’s in Multidisciplinary Studies at McMurry University.
“Dr. Oldham has a wealth of administrative experience and has been an asset in making progress in closing achievement gaps,” Senior Chief of Schools and Innovation Dr. Daniel Presley said. “We look forward to seeing him lead the Westwood Learning Community and making positive contributions to serve our campuses.”
Area Superintendents of Round Rock ISD’s five Vertical Learning Communities serve under Dr. Presley.
