Johanna Dorris has been named the new principal of Union Hill Elementary School.
Dorris has served as the assistant principal of Teravista Elementary School since 2019 and, during that time, led initiatives related to restorative practices to improve campus-wide relationships and reduce discipline referrals and streamline school-wide enrichment clubs. Before serving as an administrator at Teravista, she was an assistant principal in Pflugerville ISD and a Campus Instructional Specialist at Killeen ISD. She has 11 years of experience in education.
“I am incredibly excited and honored to join the Union Hill family,” Dorris said. “I look forward to working with all stakeholders as we foster a community-wide culture of collaboration, inclusivity, and achievement. Together, we will ensure all students have access to diverse and rich learning opportunities necessary for their academic, social, and emotional success in and beyond the classroom.”
Dorris earned her Master’s in Educational Administration and Bachelors in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas A&M University-Central Texas.
