Round Rock ISD voters have selected Dr. Jun Xiao, Dr. Mary Bone, Tiffanie Harrison and Danielle Weston to serve on the Board of Trustees, according to unofficial election results from Travis and Williamson counties.

Xiao, Bone, Harrison and Weston will join the Trustees as new members and will serve in Place 1, Place 2, Place 6 and Place 7, respectively.

The Board will canvass the election returns when final results are received by the county election offices. The swearing-in ceremony will occur at an upcoming Board meeting, following the canvassing.

“Thank you to all those who ran for a seat on the Board of Trustees as it is a testament to your dedication and support of our students and community,” Board President Amy Weir said. “As a Board, we look forward to working with Jun Xiao, Mary Bone, Tiffanie Harrison and Danielle Weston to meet the needs of our community while serving as a voice for our stakeholders. I would also like to thank Trustees Chad Chadwell, Nikki Gonzales, Steve Math and Mason Moses for their service to our students, staff, and community.”

Trustees Chadwell, Gonzales, Math and Moses chose not to run for reelection so there were no incumbents on the ballot.

Elected Trustees for Places 1, 2 and 7 will serve four-year terms. Place 6 will serve a two-year term as they replace Steve Math, who submitted his intent to resign earlier this year.

“I want to extend a warm welcome to our four new Trustees and thank them for their desire to serve the Round Rock ISD community,” said Superintendent of Schools Steve Flores, Ph.D. “I look forward to partnering with our entire Board in the important work of our District as we navigate these challenging times. Their leadership is critically important and I am confident that together we can ensure Round Rock ISD continues to innovate and excel.”

The seven members of the Board of Trustees are each elected at-large. Trustees meet regularly on the third Thursday of each month as well as additional called and workshop meetings as needed. Information on meetings can be found on the Board of Trustees Meeting website.
