Round Rock ISD salutes career and technical education in our schools during Career & Technical Education Month. Career & Technical Education Month is a nationally recognized campaign designed to highlight the values of high-quality career-pathway programs that prepare students for postsecondary success.
Career & Technical Education (CTE) serves close to 14,000 Round Rock ISD students in middle and high school, representing 14 of the Texas Career Clusters and more than 100-course offerings. Career & Technical Education in Round Rock ISD schools prepares students for fulfilling high-paying, high-demand careers.
The District’s integrated programs of study link secondary and postsecondary education, which lead to the attainment of industry-recognized credentials. In 2018-19, Round Rock ISD CTE students were awarded more than 7,800 certifications and earned more than 8,800 postsecondary credit hours through articulation agreements.
In Texas, more than one million students participate in CTE courses, and nationally, CTE encompasses 12 million secondary students. CTE programs in every community are ensuring students are adequately equipped with the skills to successfully enter their postsecondary path.
Learn more information about Round Rock ISD’s CTE programs on the District website or in the District’s mobile App.
