Student-athletes from Round Rock, Westwood and McNeil high schools took home some of the top awards during the state UIL Swim Meet on Feb. 22 and Feb. 23.
From Round Rock, Vincent Ribeiro earned the title of State Champion in the 200 Yard Boy’s Individual Medley and placed second in the Boy’s 100 Yard Breaststroke. Adam Haig finished third in the Boy’s 100 Yard Backstroke.
From Westwood High School, KyAnh Truong took home third place in the Girl’s 50 Yard Free and the Girl’s Swim Team placed eighth overall.

- Melissa Bartlett, Elise Johnson, Audrey Dieckert and Annie Wang, 10th place, Girl’s 200 Yard Medley Relay and,
- Adam Haig, Blake Ellinor, Marko Vujosevic and Vincent Ribeiro, 9th place, Boy’s 200 Free Relay.
Westwood High School
- KyAnh Troung, 11th place, 100 Yard Free,
- Grace Bradford, Jackie Liu, Evelyn Ngo and KyAnh Troung, 8th place, Girl’s 200 Yard Medley and,
- Abbey Troung, Evelyn Ngo, Ayame Castel and Kyanh Troung, 6th place and a campus record, Girl’s 200 Yard Free Relay.
McNeil High School
- Cameron Katzman, 6th place, Boy’s 200 Yard Relay and,
- Cameron Katzman, Thomas Shomper, Mauri Trevino and Fox Pope, 8th place, Boy’s 400 Yard Free Relay.
