Round Rock ISD Seniors eligible for graduation who will be attending Austin Community College (ACC) in the Fall are encouraged to apply for a 10-week paid summer internship with Samsung Semiconductor in Austin. At the end of a successful internship, graduates will have enough knowledge and experience to determine if they are prepared to launch a career with Samsung as a Technician.
“Eligible Seniors who participate in the internship will realize the opportunity to learn the semiconductor industry and gain valuable hands-on experience,” said Peggy Mica, Career and Technical Education Coordinator. “Samsung’s partnership with Round Rock ISD gives students even more choices in their quest to become future ready.”
Samsung is hosting informational sessions at each Round Rock ISD area high school. At the information sessions, students will gain access to the information they need to apply, appropriately select their college coursework and a description of what it looks like to complete a successful internship. After completion of the summer internship, students who continue with Samsung in the fall may be eligible for tuition reimbursement for their ACC classes.
Students who are interested in pursuing the Samsung internship should see their Academy Specialist or an engineering teacher for a pass to the sessions below:
