Round Rock ISD voters have selected Amber Feller, Cory Vessa, Amy Weir and Steve Math to serve on the Board of Trustees, according to unofficial election results from Travis and Williamson counties.
Feller, Vessa, and Weir join the Trustees as new members and will serve in the Place 3, Place 4 and Place 5, respectively. Math will continue to serve in the Place 6 position after being appointed by the Board last year.
The Board will canvass the election returns this month when final results are received by the county election offices. The swearing-in ceremony will occur at an upcoming Board meeting, following the canvassing.
“I commend all those who ran for a position on our Board of Trustees, regardless of the outcome, as it shows a dedication and passion for public education,” Superintendent Steve Flores, Ph.D. said. “I am eager to work with Trustee Math and the newly elected Amber Feller, Cory Vessa and Amy Weir to further our world-class educational programs and initiatives. I would also like to thank Board President Diane Cox, Secretary Suzi David and Trustee Edward Hanna for their service to our students, staff, and community.”
All elected Trustees will serve four-year terms.
The seven members of the Board of Trustees are each elected at-large. Trustees meet regularly on the third Thursday of each month at the Round Rock High School Lecture Hall, 300 Lake Creek Drive in Round Rock, as well as additional called and workshop meetings as needed.
