Using creativity to solve problems, students from Sommer Elementary School and Brushy Creek Elementary School placed among the top teams during the state Destination Imagination competition in April.
Round Rock ISD was represented by 12 teams at the station competition. Teams represented Sommer, Forest Creek, Cactus Ranch and Brushy Creek elementary schools and Cedar Valley, Grisham, Walsh and Pearson Ranch middle schools. Westwood High School also had a team qualify and compete during the contest.
Teams from Sommer and Brushy Creek advanced to the Global Finals in Tennessee in May.
