The Cedar Ridge High School Raider football team finished their most successful season yet, making it all the way to the UIL State Football semifinal playoff on Dec. 16.

The football team lost to Allen High School on Dec. 16, ending the longest season in the team’s history in the class 6-A, 28-7. The Raiders finished their season with a record of 13-2.

“We are so proud of what the Raider football team has accomplished,” Superintendent of Schools Dr. Steve Flores said. “Each one of these outstanding student-athletes deserves a huge congratulations on not only making it this far in the state playoffs, but also for representing our community with a praiseworthy combination of  impressive athletic talent and true sportsmanship.”
