The Round Rock ISD Partners in Education (PIE) Foundation raised more than $162,000 during the District’s annual Employee Giving Campaign, an increase of more than $25,000 from 2016.

The annual Employee Giving Campaign invites Round Rock ISD staff to donate funds to the RRISD PIE Foundation in support of District programs, teacher grants, scholarships and the Teacher of the Year. The campaign raised $137,000 in 2016.

The 2017-2018 Employee Giving Campaign was sponsored by Randolph Brooks Federal Credit Union.

“I could not be more proud of the Round Rock ISD family and the way our staff continues to recognize the importance of kindness and giving back to one another,” Superintendent of Schools Dr. Steve Flores said. “This year, our entire employee family pledged more than $162,000 to the Round Rock ISD Partners in Education Foundation—donations that will directly support our students and campuses in the form of grants and scholarships.”

The RRISD PIE Foundation most recently awarded more than $110,820 in Excellence in Education grants at the District’s Kickoff event. Grants awarded will fund 54 projects, spanning 45 campuses and departments, which will impact more than 45,000 students.

“We truly live in a community that is passionate about education and the Round Rock ISD family continues to embody that through their generosity and sincere support of students across our District,” said Marianne Reap, PIE Foundation executive director. “We are blessed to continue our strong partnership where we all share the focus of providing our students with the best education, resources and opportunities possible.”
