Round Rock Independent School District’s Board of Trustees is scheduled to meet Thursday, November 9, at 6 p.m. to interview candidates for the Trustee Place 6 vacancy. Following the interviews, the Board will meet in closed session to deliberate and may name a finalist for the position. Any action will take place in open session.

The Place 6 position became vacant in May when former Trustee Paul J. Tisch announced his resignation from the Board. In August, the Board appointed Stuart J. Selvaggi to fill the remainder of the term, which expires in November 2018, but Selvaggi resigned shortly after his appointment.

The Board revamped its application process by revising the application for appointed Board members, closely following the format used by the Governor’s Office, and included a background check in the screening process.

At Thursday’s meeting, the Board will interview candidates John Grey; Jennifer Henderson; Steve Math; and Kristine Parker.

The Board meeting will be held in Round Rock High School’s Old Lecture Hall, located at 300 Lake Creek Drive.
