“We were so fortunate to have a wonderful, sunny day of golf raising funds to support our teachers and students with the help of business and community leaders,” PIE Executive Director Marianne Reap said. “This was a true example of one community coming together to show their strong partnership with Round Rock ISD.”

There were 104 hole sponsorships representing Austin and Round Rock businesses who contributed to the event. In the restaurant row, a unique feature of the PIE Foundation Golf Classic, a total of 22 businesses, including Buffalo Wild Wings, Pluckers, PoK-e-Jo’s, Jack Allen’s, Olive Garden and more, provided dinner for the hungry golfers after the round.

Citizen’s National Bank placed first among the 36 participating teams with Branch President, Brian Cauthorn, guests Corey Wilson, Richard Ethridge and Stewart Shank leading the way.  R Bank placed second, followed by the players representing YMCA of Greater Williamson County coming in third.

“Seeing friends and supporters come together to support the students, staff and teachers of Round Rock ISD is a welcome reminder of the incredible generosity of our community and the heart it has for our children,” Charles King, who co-chaired the tournament along with Gregg Miller, said. “My sincere thanks to all who played, volunteered or donated — you all made it possible to not only meet but to surpass our goal.”
