Earning top awards at the national level, students from Westwood High School placed at the National SkillUSA Championship this June in Louisville, Kentucky.
Texas SkillsUSA is a non-profit youth organization which facilitates trade and industry education, enhances curriculum and involves students as they develop essential skills, such as communication and teamwork, according to the organization.
The following Westwood students placed in their respective competition:
- James Joh, second place in Job Interview,
- Pritika Paramasivam, third place in Career Pathways Showcase – Finance Services,
- Aditi Merchant, third place in Career Pathways Showcase – Finance Services,
- Ridha Mirza, third place in Career Pathways Showcase – Finance Services, and
- Grace Liu, fourth place in Pin Design.
