With Rattler pride ringing through the gymnasium, students, administrators and community members came together to celebrate the opening of Pearson Ranch Middle School, Round Rock ISD’s newest campus, on Oct. 5.
“This is an exciting day for the students, staff, parents and community of Pearson Ranch Middle School and Round Rock ISD,” Superintendent of Schools Dr. Steve Flores said. “Within its first month, this campus has set the tone for a phenomenal year and will continue to serve as a prime example of how a community can come together to provide students with facilities that are conducive to innovative and effective teaching and learning.”
Pearson Ranch was approved in the 2014 Bond and is located at 8901 Pearson Ranch Road in Austin. The land for the campus was donated by the England family.
“As a trustee, it is an honor to be part of the opening of Pearson Ranch Middle School,” said Board President Diane M. Cox. “This is an opportunity many individuals don’t get to experience, and it is a result of the collaboration between Round Rock ISD and our community that made this campus possible. I’m honored to be part of the Rattler legacy and look forward to seeing the many successes of Pearson Ranch Middle School.”
