Round Rock ISD students and employees interested in a career in HVAC or plumbing can now register for one of the new programs set to begin mid-October and November, respectively.
The programs are the result of a partnership between Round Rock ISD, Austin Community College (ACC) and the Round Rock Chamber and were developed to give participants the opportunity to become certified and to increase the number of skilled professionals in Central Texas.
The HVAC program will begin on October 16, continuing through February 19. Classes will be held Mondays and Wednesdays from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m and on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 2:45 p.m.
The plumbing program will begin on November 2, with the last class scheduled for February 24. Classes will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m and on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 2:45 p.m.
Classes for both programs will be held at Round Rock High School, 201 Deep Wood Drive, Round Rock, in room 507 of building 500. Tuition is $2,896 with scholarships available to those who apply and qualify.
