Round Rock ISD has named Dr. Zac Oldham the new principal of Cedar Valley Middle School.

Dr. Oldham has 14 years of experience in education and most recently served as the Assistant Principal of Pearson Ranch Middle School since 2017. Before his work in Round Rock ISD, he worked in Midlothian ISD as an Associate Principal and educator at Midlothian High School since 2007 and at Ennis, Leander, Burnet and Stockdale ISDs in both administrative and teaching positions.

“Dr. Oldhman has a wealth of administrative experience at the secondary level and has been an asset to our District through his work in facilitating a successful opening and continuation of the year at Pearson Ranch Middle School,” Superintendent of Schools Dr. Steve Fores said. “We look forward to seeing him lead the Cedar Valley community and making positive contributions to serve the students, staff and parents.”

Dr. Oldham earned his Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Master’s in Educational Administration from Lamar University and his Bachelor’s in Multidisciplinary Studies at McMurry University.

“I’m honored for the opportunity to serve the Cedar Valley community as principal and look forward to meeting all of the students, staff and parents that make Cedar Valley one of the best schools in the region,” Dr. Oldham said. “Together, we can work to continue Cedar Valley’s tradition of academic excellence and make this year one of the best our campus has ever seen.”

Cedar Valley Middle School, located at 8139 Racine Trail in Austin, serves 1,250 students in sixth through eighth grade.
