Round Rock ISD has named Denise Sharp the principal of Forest Creek Elementary School.
Sharp has served as the Interim Principal for Forest North Elementary School since March 2017 and previously served as a the Supervisor of Elementary Curriculum and Instruction and Federal Programs in a school district in Pennsylvania. Other roles she has served include principal and mathematics teacher.
“I am honored to be selected to serve as principal of Forest Creek Elementary,” Sharp said. “I am excited to meet the entire Forest Creek community, begin building strong relationships with students, teachers, staff, and parents, and begin our important work together creating a positive, thriving school community where everyone feels welcome, safe, and successful.”
She has 29 years of experience in education.
“She is an excellent and experienced leader for our students and an advocate for success for all,” Superintendent of Schools Dr. Steve Flores said. “She is incredibly knowledgeable and we look forward to seeing her build positive relationships with the Forest Creek Community.”
A graduate of The Shippensburg University, she has her Masters in Education Curriculum and Instruction and her Bachelors in Elementary Education from Ohio State University.
Forest Creek Elementary, located in Round Rock, features an enrollment of 783 students.
