Round Rock ISD recognized for protecting student privacy, security

Round Rock ISD has been awarded the Trusted Learning Environment (TLE) Seal in recognition of the measurable steps the District has taken to ensure the privacy of student data.

The TLE Seal is a voluntary and ambitious program that sets practices and norms for schools around privacy of student data. Districts that earn the TLE Seal are recognized for successfully implementing the practices to build and foster ongoing trust at the core of their cultures.

RRISD STEM Fest rescheduled for May 5

The Round Rock ISD STEM Fest will be held May 5, after being postponed from its original date of March 24.

The event will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. at Prete Plaza in Downtown Round Rock, rain or shine.
RRISD STEM Fest is an opportunity for students from Pre-K to middle school to take part in hands-on STEM projects and showcases. The event will feature a Cardboard Challenge inspired by Caine’s Arcade, the Round Rock ISD Pop Up Library, a showcase from the Round Rock SWAT Team and other activities for students and families.

Board Briefs: Board celebrates fine arts in Round Rock ISD, receives construction updates and approves bids for upcoming construction

The Round Rock ISD Board of Trustees celebrated fine arts participation with Music in our Schools Month, Theatre in our Schools Month, Youth Art Month and National Dance Week. Chief Operating Officer Bob Cervi also presented construction updates on Westwood High School Phase 3, McNeil High School Phase 1, Round Rock High School Phase 3B, the Cedar Ridge High School Fine Arts Auditorium, Pearson Ranch Middle School and the Stony Point High School Fine Arts Auditorium.
