Round Rock ISD Financial Services has been awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting by Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) for its comprehensive annual financial report (CAFR).
The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management, according to the GFOA. Diana Domeracki is the District’s Controller and Kelly Blanscet is the District’s Accounting Manager.
“It is a great honor to be recognized by the Government Finance Officer’s Association,” said Randy Staats, Round Rock ISD chief financial officer. “Our success would not be possible without the work from the Business and Financial Services teams and our campus and department leaders, who take our duty to our taxpayers seriously by continuing our mission of being fiscally responsible and transparent. I look forward to continuing our work serving students and our community by ensuring we are aligned with high standards of business practice and accountability.”
The CAFR is judged by an impartial panel to meet the high standards of the program, which includes demonstrating a constructive “spirit of full disclosure” to clearly communicate its financial story and motivate potential users and user groups to read the CAFR.
The GFOA is a nonprofit professional association serving approximately 17,500 government finance professionals.
