Interested in supporting students and schools in an advisory role to the Board of Trustees?

The Round Rock ISD School Health Advisory Council (SHAC) has vacant positions on its committee.

The Round Rock ISD School Health Advisory Council serves to inform and engage the Board of Trustees on issues surrounding Coordinated School Health. By engaging a variety of community stakeholders, and especially District parents, our District’s school health policies and education curriculum reflect the values and needs of the community.

SHAC by-law eligibility requirements:

  • A person must live within the Round Rock ISD community, work for Round Rock ISD, or have children that attend Round Rock ISD.
  • They must have a strong commitment to the health and wellbeing of children and a strong desire to attend and participate in the meetings.
  • Membership of the SHAC shall strive to reflect the geographic, ethnic, gender and economic diversity of the District.

The District will accept applications through April 2. The next SHAC meeting is April 11, 2017.
