Round Rock ISD Executive Director of Technology and Information Services Mark Gabehart was awarded the Texas Computer Education Association (TCEA) Advocacy Award at the organization’s annual conference in February.

Through the Advocacy Award, TCEA recognizes an individual’s efforts to advocate on behalf of students and teachers for technology-rich learning environments and educational experiences that meet the needs of all learners, according to the organization.

“I am honored to receive the TCEA Advocacy Award,” Gabehart said. “In Round Rock ISD, we are committed to ensuring all students have access to modern technology and have the skills needed to be successful in an innovative world.”

Gabehart has been a key component in promoting the importance of technology in teaching and learning and ensuring all technology is up-to-date and functional for students.

“We are incredibly proud of Mark Gabehart for being selected as the recipient of the TCEA Advocacy Award,” Superintendent of Schools Dr. Steve Flores said. “Mark has been a tireless advocate on behalf of our students and I am honored to celebrate his success as he advocates for students across Texas.”
