The Round Rock ISD Partners in Education (PIE) Foundation raised over $90,000 during the sold-out 2016 Golf Classic on Oct. 24, 2016.

St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center was the top sponsor with a $10,000 donation. Ace sponsors ($5,000) included Bartlett Cocke General Contractors, Trane, McCreary Veselka Bragg & Allen, P.C. and a shared sponsorship between Dell and Weaver Technologies.

A total of $12,500 was donated by BLGY Architecture Inc., Cunningham-Allen, Lauren Concrete, PBK and YMCA of Greater Williamson County, who were all Eagle sponsors with $2,500 contributions.

“The 2016 golf tournament resulted in record proceeds,” said Charles King of Chasco Construction and PIE Foundation Golf co-chair. “Thanks to our presenting sponsor, St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center and the support of our business community and volunteers, we can continue our contributions to the world-class school district we are privileged to work with.”

There were 88 hole sponsorships representing Austin and Round Rock businesses who contributed to the special event. In the restaurant row, a unique feature of the PIE Foundation Golf Classic, there were 21 businesses, including Buffalo Wild Wings, Pluckers, Outback, Bellini’s, Verdes Mexican Parilla, and 620 Cafe and Bakery. Players also enjoyed delicious smoked brisket provided by Atmos Energy and sausage wraps donated by Wired Orthodontics.

With 36 teams participating in the sold-out tournament, Trane placed first, St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center came in second with Citizen’s National Bank placing third.

“It was a wonderful day of golf and partnership all to support the teachers, staff and students of Round Rock ISD,” said Marianne Reap, Executive Director of the PIE Foundation. “We are very grateful for our business partners and the support from the local community”
