Superintendent of Schools Dr. Steve Flores named Mario De La Rosa, Round Rock ISD director of safety and security, as the RRock Star for September 2016.
De La Rosa has led the District’s safety and security measures since 2016. De La Rosa previously served as the law and safety teacher at Cedar Ridge High School where he implemented a strong partnership with local law enforcement.
“Mario De La Rosa has been an essential member of the Round Rock ISD team,” Dr. Flores said. “Mario is a diligent leader and I am proud to have him work to keep our students and staff safe on all campuses and facilities.”
RRock Star is a distinction awarded by the Superintendent to a member of the Round Rock ISD team who impacts students across the District.
