DeWayne Street named Round Rock ISD’s Chief Equity Officer

Superintendent Steve Flores, Ph.D. announced today the selection of veteran equity and diversity expert DeWayne Street as Round Rock ISD’s first-ever Chief Equity Officer. The newly created position is aimed at improving equity and inclusion efforts Districtwide and will oversee work in creating an equitable, diverse and inclusive working and learning environment for every member of the Round Rock ISD community. 

Kathy Cawthron Named Principal of C.D. Fulkes Middle School

Kathy Cawthron has been named the new principal of C.D. Fulkes Middle School. Cawthron has served as the principal of Berkman Elementary Arts Integration Academy since 2015 and, during that time, implemented a strong staff driven student support model for behavioral social and emotional needs and led the transition to an Arts Integration Academy.

Amanda Serna Named Principal of Grisham Middle School

Amanda Serna has been named the new principal of Grisham Middle School. Serna has served as the assistant principal of Grisham since 2016 and, during that time, supervised the campus’ Restorative Discipline Plan/Practices, which has resulted in over 80% drop in discipline referrals over the 2018-2019 school year.

Brian Braudrick Named Principal of Live Oak Elementary School

Brian Braudrick has been named the new principal of Live Oak Elementary School. Braudrick has served as the assistant principal of Live Oak since 2016 and is currently serving Round Rock ISD as the Summer Learning Principal for third and fourth grade.

Doriane Marvel named new Laurel Mountain Principal

Doriane Marvel has been named the new principal of Laurel Mountain Elementary School. With over 20 years of experience in education, Marvel has most recently served Round Rock ISD as the Assistant Principal of Pearson Ranch Middle School since the campus was opened in 2017.
