Equal access to advanced courses helps all students succeed

Round Rock ISD is thrilled to be recognized by our exceptional Texas public school partners. Dacia Rivers, editorial director of Texas School Business, features Round Rock ISD’s advanced academics program in the 2021-2022 15th Annual Bragging Rights Issue. Texas School Business is a Texas Association of School Administrators (TASA) publication.

Summer Enrichment Fair to be held Feb. 1

The event will be hosted on Saturday, Feb. 1 in the Walsh Middle School cafeteria from noon to 2 p.m. and will feature local and regional academic and fine arts vendors showcasing summer programs. Vendors will share information on pricing and program dates. Interactive activities will be available for students at some vendor tables. Drawings will also occur throughout the day with prizes including camp vouchers.

Round Rock ISD Makes College Board’s 9th Annual AP® District Honor Roll

For the second consecutive year, Round Rock ISD has been honored by the College Board with placement on the 9th Annual AP® District Honor Roll. The District is one of 373 school districts in the U.S. and Canada to earn this honor, which recognizes efforts and growth to the Advanced Placement (AP) program.

Students earn 2K college credit hours through dual credit

Round Rock ISD students at the District’s five comprehensive high schools earned a record breaking total of 2,325 college credit hours during fall 2016 dual credit courses — the equivalent of $1.9 million in tuition at Austin Community College (ACC).

TAG Independent Study Showcase highlights elementary school student research

Talented and Gifted (TAG) students from across Round Rock ISD highlighted their research projects during the District’s semi-annual TAG Independent Study Showcase.

The event, held Dec. 6 at Cedar Ridge High School, provided an opportunity for elementary school students to present and showcase their work to parents, teachers and community members.
