Westwood Tennis team earns back-to-back state titles

The Westwood High School Tennis team has cemented its status after earning back-to-back wins at the University Interscholastic League 6A State Championship. This is Westwood’s second straight 6A team championship title and its fourth in the past six years.

Student-athletes sign collegiate letters of intent

Round Rock ISD student-athletes recently took the next steps towards becoming collegiate athletes by signing early letters of intent. When student-athletes sign a National Letter of Intent, they have officially committed to continue their athletic careers at the collegiate level. The National Letter of Intent is issued to prospective student-athletes with a scholarship.

Round Rock ISD Aquatic Center ribbon cutting

Round Rock ISD Board Members, faculty, staff, and community members celebrated the official ribbon cutting for the Round Rock ISD Aquatic Center this week. The center was made possible by the voter-approved 2018 Bond and will serve Round Rock ISD swimmers, divers, and water polo players for many years to come.

Athletic Program Spotlight: Athletic Training and Sports Medicine

Athletic training and sports medicine is one of the 25 student sports and club athletic programs offered at Round Rock ISD High Schools. The course trains students in sports medicine-related careers, prevention of athletic injuries, recognition, evaluation, immediate care of athletic injuries, rehabilitation, management skills, and taping and wrapping techniques.

Westwood earns state championships, Round Rock takes bronze at UIL Spring State Tennis Tournament

Finishing an epic season, tennis players from Westwood High School and Round Rock High School left the UIL Spring State Tennis Tournament with gold and bronze medals. From Westwood, Kinaa Graham took home first place and the title of State Champion in the 6A Girls Singles Division. Joining her as champions, Aadhi Raja and Aashish Dhanani placed first in the 6A Boys Doubles Division.
