Nominees wishing to become candidates for the following leadership positions must submit a resume with a paragraph declaring interest to any member of the Nominating Committee by Friday, Feb. 21. Candidates may either self-nominate or be nominated by another individual.
Round Rock ISD salutes career and technical education in our schools during Career & Technical Education Month. Career & Technical Education (CTE) serves over 12,000 Round Rock ISD students in high school and middle school, offering more than 100-course offerings.
National School Counseling Week, February 3-7, aims to highlight the impact school counselors have in helping students evaluate needs and plan for their future. The Round Rock ISD counseling staff provides comprehensive counseling services to over 51,000 students in the District.
The event will be hosted on Saturday, Feb. 1 in the Walsh Middle School cafeteria from noon to 2 p.m. and will feature local and regional academic and fine arts vendors showcasing summer programs. Vendors will share information on pricing and program dates. Interactive activities will be available for students at some vendor tables. Drawings will also occur throughout the day with prizes including camp vouchers.
In preparation for the opening of Elementary School No. 35 for the 2021-2020 school year and in an effort to review and potentially address capacity concerns at campuses, the Round Rock ISD Board of Trustees has established a plan to review boundaries.
The annual campus family survey opens Thursday, Jan. 9 and will remain open through Sunday, Feb. 9. Results from the survey are used by campus administration to plan, implement or adjust campus policies and programs.
Early College High School (ECHS) is a Round Rock ISD public school that allows students to earn a diploma AND up to 60 transferable college credit hours, from Austin Community College, in four years at NO COST to the family. Tuition, textbooks, and transportation is included.
Projects from Bond 2018 continue to move forward with many making significant headway during Summer 2019. These projects, and more that will take shape in the next three years, will impact the entire Round Rock ISD community, which includes more than 50,000 students and 7,000 employees.
A+ Education Foundation has awarded 79 educators grants totaling more than $72,000 to help fund creative and innovative programs that will encourage and inspire their students. Among the 79 recipients, $15,454.89 has been awarded to 17 educators from Round Rock ISD.
