24 aspiring nurses sign P-TECH letter of intent

P-TECH’s first cohort of 24 aspiring nurses took their first step towards a future in high-skill health science careers as licensed vocational nurses by signing their program letter of intent.

Round Rock ISD middle schools awarded $30,000 in engineering grants

. Fulkes, Deerpark, and Hernandez middle schools received a $10,000 Project Lead the Way (PLTW) grant to expand their pre-engineering programs. The awarded grants will fund expanded student access and early career exposure to the engineering field, introduce new course modules, bolster educator training, purchase equipment, and increase field trip opportunities.

Penny Oates Named Principal of C.D. Fulkes Middle School

Penny Oates has been named the new principal of C.D. Fulkes Middle School. With 30 years of experience in education, Oates has most recently served Round Rock ISD as the principal of Callison Elementary School since 2019.

C.D. Fulkes Middle School ribbon cutting

The newest school building in the District, C.D. Fulkes Middle School held a ribbon cutting on October 6, 2022 to celebrate the opening of the school this year. The campus is named after C.D. Fulkes, who served as the principal of Round Rock High School for 19 years. His legacy will live on in this new state-of-the-art building.

The new state-of-the-art building, which was one of the most significant projects of Bond 2018, opened this Fall to students and staff. From the new gyms to the original C.D. Fulkes flooring being converted into a seating area in the library, everyone is loving the new learning environment.
