The Westwood High School Tennis team took home the gold during the University Interscholastic League (UIL) 6A State Championship competition on Tuesday, November 17. This is the second championship title the team has earned since 2018.

“We are so proud of the Westwood Tennis team and their achievements this season,” principal Mario Acosta said. “This team continues to propel the tradition of excellence for our campus and their state champion title is the result of their hard work and dedication.”

The team clinched the title with a 10-3 win over Plano West in the Class 6A final. Their 18-0 season has also included earning the Area and District champion titles earlier this year.
