For leading by example and wearing many hats in efforts to help Round Rock ISD accomplish its goals, Superintendent Steve Flores, Ph.D. named Rachael Sefton, Community Partnerships Supervisor, as the Superintendent’s RRock Star for April 2019.

Sefton’s journey to community partnerships supervisor began in the classroom, where she has spent most of her career in education. During those years, she was nominated and earned many local and state awards, including Round Rock ISD’s Elementary Teacher of the Year.

“Rachael Sefton is an influencer in our community and builds, bridges and engages community partners,” Flores said. “Beyond that, she is 100 percent committed to students and the mission of Round Rock ISD.  Everything she does is focused on  sharing the great things happening in our schools with the Round Rock ISD community and helping organizations in our community realize why they should be a part of it.”

As Community Partnerships Supervisor, she works each day to connect organizations in our community to our classrooms to provide resources that are beneficial to students, parents and staff members. She also helps lead  District events such as the Back to School Bash, which provides school supplies, vision exams, and other resources to students in Central Texas and the District’s annual Teacher of the Year celebration.
