Grisham Middle School’s Educational Assistant Charmagne Speaks was named the Superintendent’s RRock Star for March 2019 at the PTA Council Luncheon held on March 26.

Speaks is the heart and soul of Grisham where she has worked for the last 15 years of her 17 years with Round Rock ISD.  She goes above and beyond her duties as an educational assistant as she coordinates the campus’ Black History Month Assembly, plans and hosts the annual Soul Food Lunch for faculty and staff, sponsors the Sewing Club and supports athletics with ticket and concession sales at games.  She even created a free shop with donated dresses and button-down shirts so all students can dress their best for the eighth-grade dance.

“Charmagne Speaks establishes a culture of togetherness at Grisham Middle School by fostering an inclusive atmosphere for all students, staff and administrators,” Superintendent Steve Flores, Ph.D. said. “Her love for the students at Grisham, as well as her colleagues, is reflected in all that she does.”
