Encouraging the Round Rock community to come together to raise awareness for suicide prevention, the Round Rock ISD Student Advisory Board (SAB) is hosting a Campus Walk for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention on April 21, 2018.

The walk is open to all residents of Round Rock and will take place at Cedar Ridge High School starting at 10 a.m with a counseling and resource fair beginning at 9 a.m.

Each year the SAB takes on a community service project and this year the students turned their attention to raising awareness and expanding education for the prevention of suicide and assisting peers with depression and anxiety.

The event is free to attend, but members of the community can support team members and choose to donate online through their learning community fundraising page.

The Round Rock ISD SAB consists of student leaders from middle and high schools who provide advice on student concerns to the Superintendent. Their primary mission is to promote the Round Rock ISD goals through student input on those areas that impact student performance, safety and security, dropout prevention, and other areas of concern.
