Newly remodeled and modern instructional spaces will open for Warrior Nation soon.

The current phase for construction at Westwood High School Master Plan is nearing completion as Phase 3C and Phase D will be ready for students beginning in August.

Phase 3C of the Master Plan renovated classrooms and added a campus makerspace. Phase 3C has undergone substantial completion and will be completed by the end of the school year. Phase 3D classroom renovations are scheduled for completion this summer.

Seven portables will be removed from Westwood as a result of the completion of Phase 3, making more parking spots available.

Projects for Westwood are included in both Proposition 1 and Proposition 3 of Bond 2017.

Phase 4 of the campus Master Plan is included in Proposition 1 of Bond 2017. Phase 4 would renovate and expand arts instructional spaces, add a lecture hall, and include 26 new classrooms to replace portables. The Westwood Master Plan addresses instructional spaces inside the existing facility, including fine arts, dance, and JROTC spaces and a lecture hall. Phase 4 of the Plan was prioritized by the Round Rock ISD Citizens Bond Committee and staff. The fourth phase continues on Master Plan phases from Bond 2008 and Bond 2014.

Design of a fine arts auditorium and parking solution is included in Proposition 3 of Bond 2017. The proposed fine arts auditorium would support Westwood and its feeder campuses. The fine arts and parking project would begin after completion of Phase 4, pending future funding for construction.
