Round Rock Living Magazine has named Round Rock ISD’s General Counsel Sandra Carpenter as a 2017 Women of the ROCK winner.

“This award gives the Round Rock community the opportunity to discover the outstanding qualities we admire about Sandra and realize the commitment she comes to work with every day, serving the students, staff, and community of Round Rock ISD,” Superintendent of Schools Dr. Steve Flores said. “At Round Rock ISD we are exceptionally fortunate to have Sandra on our team of professionals who advocate for children.”

The Women of the ROCK Award was created to honor and generate public recognition of the achievements and positive contributions of professional women in Round Rock. Carpenter joins a distinguished list of 16 professional women in Round Rock who have been identified as an inspiration for the next generation by fueling entrepreneurial passion, demonstrating leadership and affirming the value women bring to businesses.

“I am grateful for this recognition. The Women of the ROCK award is recognizing some truly amazing and committed women in our community, it both honors and humbles me to be considered one of them,” Carpenter said. “Being a part of Round Rock ISD’s truly great team of leaders has afforded me this opportunity. I appreciate the trust from the Round Rock ISD Board of Trustees and Superintendent Flores. Thank you Round Rock Living Magazine and the Round Rock community, it’s a privilege to be considered an ambassador for Round Rock women in the workplace.”

Carpenter will be formally presented her award at the inaugural Women of the ROCK and Woman of the Year Awards Gala in August.
