Round Rock ISD will host the Proclamation 2017 Community Showcase, inviting teachers, parents and community members to review and provide feedback on proposed instructional materials.

The community feedback event will be held Jan. 6, 2017 from 1 to 7 p.m., at the Round Rock ISD Old Hopewell Building, 1311 Round Rock Avenue, Round Rock. The Round Rock ISD Old Hopewell building is the white school house building located on the property of the District’s administration building.

Proposed instructional materials will be on display by subject area and comment cards will be available for community input.

Proclamation 2017, issued by the State Board of Education in 2015, called for instructional materials for all courses in career and technical education, languages other than English, special topics in social studies, algebraic reasoning and statistics. The adopted materials as part of Proclamation 2017 are slated to go into classrooms in the 2017-2018 school year.
