Round Rock ISD has been named to the Texas Comptroller’s 2013 Leadership Circle for financial transparency.

The Leadership Circle program recognizes local governments across Texas that strive to meet a high standard for financial transparency online. The award spotlights those local governments that:

  • Open their books to the public.
  • Provide clear, consistent pictures of spending.
  • Share information in a user-friendly format that lets taxpayers easily drill down for more information.

Round Rock ISD was awarded the highest – the Gold Award – of the three Leadership Circle levels, scoring 19 of 20 possible points in the ratings criteria. The Gold Level highlights institutions that “are setting the bar with their transparency efforts,” according to the Texas Comptroller’s Office.

This is the fourth year that Round Rock ISD has received the Leadership Circle Award. Ramiro Flores is the district’s Deputy Superintendent for Business Administration.
